The Usui System of Natural Healing
Reiki is not a religion. The living body, human or animal radiates warmth and energy. This energy is the Life Force itself. In Japan this energy is termed Ki & it is from this word that Reiki is named. Upon recieving the first Reiki attunement in Reiki 1, the reciever becomes a channel for this Universal Healing Energy. Debbie is a Reiki Master & when healing works on pain areas or using the Reiki full-body hand positions. The Ki energy does the rest, without any intended direction, flowing through the Healers hands. The energy has an intelligence far beyond intellect & will go where it is needed. Reiki also heals on all the bodies levels including the Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual. What happens in a session cannot be predicted, as I find intuitively that we are all unique, especially energetically. Reiki relieves Pain, speeds the Healing process, Relaxes the reciever & balances the Auric energy fields surrounding the human body. The way Debbie works with this remarkable energy is by creating a point of referance & working from there. Debbie knows where she is working at any point in time (within the body & organs, in the auric field or working with the chakras). Every healing session is unique to the individual & some very amazing responses have happened. I have been practising Reiki now since 2012.

The word Reiki is now commonly used to refer to Usui's System of Natural Healing. Most people having a Reiki Treatment become aware of tension dropping away, while the ever chattering mind becomes still. This gives rise to a deep sense of relaxation & an overall sense of wellbeing.
On an Emotional/Spiritual level, it is often experienced as a tremendous feeling of love & joy or as a sensation of release, as old emotional conflicts start to melt away. It is not necessary to follow a long training in order to be able to channel Reiki Energy. Anyone can learn Reiki & experience the rewards of using this amazing energy on themselves, their family, pets & friends
About the Chakra's
The word chakra is derived from Sanskrit & means wheel. The Chakra's themselves are circular energy centres which exist in our 'subtle' body. They serve as gateways for the flow of energy & life into our physical bodies. Each chakra is associated with certain parts of the body and certain organs, which it provides with the energy it needs to function. The finer energy of the upper chakra's corresponds to our higher mental & spiritual aspirations & faculties. There are seven main chakra's as well as several minor chakra's over major joints in our body. The person recieving the healing energy does so with an open mind. The only expectation is that healing will take place, for our highest good & that everything happens as it should. Your natural state is one of high energy, intuition & creativity. Give Reiki a go. You really will be quite amazed by this very empowering experience.
Frequency of Treatments
The time between treatments vary, depending on the nature & severity of the problem. Standard sessions are weekly, usually for 3 weeks.
About the Practitioner
Debbie now lives in Timaru New Zealand, having lived & studied in Western Australia for 32 years. A treatment room has been set up from her private residence in Avenue Road, Westend. Debbie has been working with this energy since July 2012. I have always been interested in many Alternative Health Therapies & related philosophies & decided to study firstly Bowen Therapy, Reiki & then Matrix Energetics. I am also interested in Iridology. Debbie paticipates in The Timaru Body Soul Expo on April 8th at the Caroline Bay Hall 2017 & free Healing days at the Red Cross Hall, Timaru.
Cost
A standard treatment is for 1 hour & costs $50. Clients lie face down & prone, the time varies depending on each clients needs. As I work, I will often have different body responses & sometimes messages are given to pass on. I especially love working with Reiki as it suits my creative personality & there is no ego attachment.
The Future
I feel that the Earth is about to undergo new & exciting changes. With these changes, there will be renewed interest in Alternative Therapies & Treatments. I look forward to these times, where Reiki is very much alive & practised as an important part of everyday life & the health of who we are & our planet. Reiki is totally positive. Elders infants & children respond well to Reiki Healing as do pets & plants.
